Title: Life in the fat lane
Cherie Bennett
Points: 9.0
RL: 4.0

Life in the fat lane is about a girl who's life is perfect. She was the Homecomming dance queen, her family was perfect, she had the handsome boyfriend, and most importantly, she was thin. She was the most popular girl at school until a desease took over her body. This desease made her gain weight in a short amount of time. No matter how less she would eat and how much she would exercise, she would gain more and more weight. Her little perfect life started falling apart.
Her handsome boyfriend seemed not to be in love with her anymore so she had to do the hardest desicion in her life. Break up with him. Then, there was a family proble. She had to move to another state. Once there, there was a lot of bullying, even more than in her other school. But then she found some friends. She started losing her weight. Could it be that her perfect, normal life was falling back together? Find out by reading "Life in the fat lane".

I recommend this book to girls especially. They would understand better in her point of view how hard it is to be peeked on by the weight. They would understand that almost every girl would rather be thin than fat. Besides, this is a sad book and very emotional and boys probably would'nt understand it. Also, it's a very easy book and very easy to earn some AR points!

It is a thicker book, but goes extremely fast. I think anyone who doesn’t like to read should start reading this series. I hated reading at first, but this book made me a read-alcoholic!

A Child Called It

Title: A Child Called It
Author: David Peltzer
Points: 5.0
Level: 5.8

A Child Called It is a great but very sad non fiction book. So, if you are looking for a non fiction book to read, try this one! It is about this little boy who at the begining of the book is 6 years old and has 3 other brothers and a horrible mom. She beats him, puts him in a gas chamber, verbaly abuses him, hits him, kicks him, puts soap in his mouth and makes him swallow it, makes him stay up late and doesnt allow him to eat with the rest of the family, and absolutely discludes him from the familly. Now, he does have a dad and at first his dad would try to stick up for him, but his mother eventually takes over his dad and wont let the boy see his dad. If he ever does see his dad, leter on, his dad ignores him but doesn't beat up like his mom. There comes a time in his life where for about 2 days, his mom is odly kind to him and lets him eat with the family and play with his brothers and shows affection for him and Dave thinks everything will be okay. But, 2 days later, his mom gets right back to her old self again. For about 5 years Dave slept in a cot in the garage if he was lucky to have any blankets at all. When he is about 11, his dad leaves forever and his mom gets pregnant. Then he gets even less attention from the little that he has. It does not end like a happy ever lasting story, but it is a meraculous story about a little boy who is abused for many years and surprisingly lives through it all.

If you are looking for a non fiction book that is good, and eay to read, this is the book for you. It is a super easy test. Although it is a sad and a little depressing, it is definitly worth reading because it really will show you how lucky you are.
