Memories of Anne Frank

Memories of Anne Frank
Reading Level- 6.0
Point Value- 4.0

I think this is a very good book because it teaches a lot about how Jews were treated back then and I think it is very interesting and sad. I think you would like this book because it is educational, interesting and it could get you points. lol.

The story is about Anne Franks childhood. It tells how she was sent to concentration Camps because of the war and how she was separated from her family. She becomes close with other people and then they become a family and protect each other. Many of her family dies. At the end of the story the war ends and the Jews are safe again. I loved this book and I think you would to.

The Chicken Doesn’t Skate

The Chicken Doesn’t Skate is about a boy who moves back to his Minnesota home. He is new to the school and wants to make friends. He is in the 7th grade, except for science, which is a 6th grade class. His school is having a science fair, and his project is on the life cycle of a chicken. James and the Giant Peach is a wanderful, enchanting fairytale brought to you by Rahld Dahl. This book is about a boy who is left by his parents and is forced to live with his two mean, cruel, and rude aunts. But a man comes one day and gives him seas and with these seeds. Little does he know that a very big adventure is ahead of him.

I reccomend this book to any one who is looking for a fairytale to uplift there day. Also I reccomend this to anyone who is in this situation that James is in. This book tells about how you can always have a little bit of fun and adventure in your life even though you may have a bad one.

Eldest

Christopher Paolini
Level: 7.0
Points: 36
Fiction

Eldest is a great book that follows another great book called Eragon in a series called the Inheritance Trilogy. The book Eragon is about a young farm boy that finds a shiny blue rock while hunting. The rock turns out to be a dragon egg which hatches and makes him, Eragon, the rider. Eldest is a continuation of Eragon in which Eragon has to go get trained by the Elves to use magic and ride his dragon, Saphira. He then has to go and fight in a battle against the Empire where he meets up with his long lost cousin. It is great book that i would definitely recommend to anyone. But read Eragon first.

Bloomability

Title: Bloomability
Author: Sharon Creech
Book Level: 5.2
Point Value: 7.0
Genre: Fiction

Bloomabilty is a great book about a girl who needs a little room to grow. Since she was a baby, her family has pretty much traveled the whole United States. She always had her box of things ever since the start of it all. That's all about to change when Dinnie is brought to Switzerland. Now, with her Aunt Sandy and Uncle Max, she has to go to a new school with people from all over the world. She has to learn a new language, make new friends and learn to ski, all before school ends in the summer.

I recommend this book to anyone who needs a good story about friendship, and making room for the new, but keeping the old. I would also like to recommend this book to anyone who needs a heart warming story bout a girl who's growing up inside her own bubble. If someone wants to know about a girl growing up, trying to reach out, this is the book for them. Even though it is a fiction book, it seems so real.
