In this book David's mother abuses him. Everytime he does something he isn't supposed to, she hits him or makes her own little "game" up. When someone is coming over or someone hears something about him getting abused, she is nice to him. Or any other time she is nice to him, there is a catch.

I recommend this book for anyone who needs to read a nonfiction book. If you like books about real life you should read this book. If you hear anything about anyone getting abused you need to tell someone- a teacher, a friend, a principal, or any adult. This is a very sad book. If you don't like reading it then you shouldn't read this.
