This book is about a boy who writes to an author named Mr.Henshaw. His parents are divorced and his dad is a trucker.The boy,Leigh, keeps writing to the author ,but the author doesn't answer very often. The author asks the boy if he can try writing a diary instead because the is to busy to answer!So Leigh did!
It is a good book if you like happy and sad books at the same time!It is very short and has big letters so you can finish it fastly and get 3.0 pionts!I also liked it because the whole story was in letters!If you like Beverly Cleary i suggest you read this book!

I read that book a few years ago when Beverly Cleary was my favorite author.
