Snakecharm

Author: Amelia Atwater Rhodes
Reading Level: 6.5
Points: 7.0
Genre: fiction

The book Snakecharm is volume two in The Kiesha’ Ra series. Snakecharm is about Zane Cobriana, a cobra shapeshifter. He had just married Danica, a hawk shapeshifter, and is very happy for her and the peace that they brought to the avian and the serpiente lands. Danica is carrying a child on their regal lines, but no one is really as happy as they should be. People don’t think it is a good idea to have a mixed-blood child. They don’t think that snakes and birds were meant to live together. They are in even more trouble when Syfka, an ancient falcon, comes from Ahnmik and claims that one of her people is hidden in the serpiente and avian land somewhere. The falcons are more powerful than the serpiente and avian people combined, and Syfka is not very happy about the alliance they made together and the mixed-blood child they were to have. Zane’s people don’t seem too happy to have a mixed-blood child as heir to their throne; they fear that the avians will take control of their lands. Was Syfka there to just start trouble and break the alliance or was her lost falcon really in their lands? Will their peace be destroyed or will they find a way to make everything right again?

Snakecharm is an amazing book. I highly recommend reading it. It is very interesting and will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat when you are reading. It is a very good book and there are some romantic parts, it does keep you reading and you will find yourself not wanting to stop reading. Some things happen unexpectedly and that is what makes it a good book to read, because it keeps you interested about what will happen next. I loved the book and again I highly recommend it. The first book to the series is called Hawksong, then is Snakecharm, Falcondance, and last is Wolfcry.
